Love to release memoirs

Courtney Love plans to release her memoir, titled Dirty Blonde: The Diaries of Courtney Love, in November. "Here is a unique visual look into a world that is never captured," her literary agent says. "It's a one-of-a-kind memoir of an extraordinary life lived by a unique artist." The book will include poetry, lyrics and photos, including some of Kurt Cobain, and talks about Cobain's struggle with drugs. Of her late husband's overdose in Rome in 1994, Love says, "Rome was a huge cover-up. I see it now. I just didn't want to see it then. Last night, I re-read the note he left in Rome. It's so obviously a suicide note."

The Simple Life

The Simple Life 4 is due to premiere this week in the US, but if you're hoping to get the dirt on the infamous Paris/Nicole feud, you'll be disappointed. The co-stars do, however, have the following to say about each other:

Hilton: "I'm the nice one, she's the evil one. Some people change when they think they're a star or something and some people stay the same. I've always been the same and she's definitely not."

Richie: "You've never lost touch with anyone in your life?"

Josh Hartnett, ladies' man

Josh Hartnett has reportedly been seen around NYC with Scarlett Johannson look-alikes while she has been busy shooting The Nanny Diaries. Rumors of trouble in paradise began when Hartnett was seen at an NYC bar at 2:30 a.m., playing pool and canoodling with an unknown woman. "There was a lot of touching," a witness said. When asked about the rumor, Hartnett's rep said the actor and Johansson "are still together."

Ellen's awkward run-in

Former couple Ellen Degeneres and Anne Heche reportedly had an awkward encounter when the pair ran into one another at the GQ Celebrity Poker for Peace Games. Heche and her husband walked over to Degeneres and her girlfriend Portia de Rossi, and according to a witness, "Ellen's face was bright red. The group talked, catching up and chatting and sort of seeing where each other was at in their lives. After that they went their separate ways and didn't have much to do with each other. They were concentrating more on their poker games." The encounter was apparently the first time the pair had seen one another in five years.
