Paris sues to have website shut down

Paris Hilton took legal action yesterday to shut down parisexposed.com. The website hosts a collection of the socialite's private photos, videos, letters, bank statements, medical records and even her passport. In a federal lawsuit, Hilton says she put the items in a 6,000-sq-ft storage unit two years ago when she and her sister were moving house, and claims the moving company should have been paying the storage fees. "I was appalled to learn that people are exploiting my and my sisters' private personal belongings for commercial gain," the heiress said in a statement, adding that she feared the items could be used "to steal my identity, or even worse, to harass or stalk me." Hilton's rep said the Simple Life star hopes the site will be shut down and "all of these items returned to her."

Posh to design shoes and bags

Looks like Victoria Beckham has found something to keep herself occupied once she and her family move to LA so her husband David can play soccer for the LA Galaxy - the former Spice Girl will design a line of bags and shoes. Beckham, who signed on to the project for a reported $6.4 million, already has a line of jeans and sunglasses, as well as a range of bags sold in Tokyo. "Victoria's a real stickler for detail so everything will be perfect," a souce told a British paper. "Her shoes will be as sexy as Christian Louboutin's - there's a huge buzz about them over here." Beckham toasted her success at the Ivy with BFF Katie Holmes while she was in LA househunting earlier this month. "Katie was so thrilled for Victoria. The move to Los Angeles may seem like it's all about David's career but she isn't resting on her laurels. Her fashion projects were going great guns in Europe. And to have landed such a major US deal before she and her family have even moved there is amazing. And it'll open doors to other great things. Her A-list pals will be seen wearing her designs so a clothes range is a natural progression."

Gwen talks babies and weight

Gwen Stefani spoke to UK Elle mag about losing her baby weight, being a new mom and being married to a rock star. A few excerpts:

On her public pregnancy: "It was weird being pregnant in a fishbowl situation. Especially on days when you feel really fat and disgusting and not cute. Pregnancy was challenging in a way I didn't expect. I was on tour and I was so sick. It was like PMS times a million."

On baby weight: "I worked out with my trainer throughout my whole pregnancy until about two weeks before. I cried during my last session. I was like, 'I can't breathe, I can't do this anymore. What am I doing?' It was crazy. All my life I had to work hard to stay in shape. I've always struggled with it. I was a little chubby when I was younger, and I didn't want to be that person forever. I became a swimmer at school - but only because I wanted to be skinnier! I'm extremely vain. I like wearing cute clothes."

On getting her body back: "There aren't any tricks, it's simple math: you put this much food in, you burn that much working out. I gave myself three months - but if I didn't have an album coming out, there's no way I would have gotten back into shape in that time. I worked out with my trainer five days a week, with weekends off. I would really recommend doing weights. I'm not into yoga and pilates - they don't work for me and I don't have the patience. I'm more like a man. I like going to the gym and lifting weights or doing a little boxing."

On Kingston and Shiloh's playdate: "Yeah! They were like two little blobs when they met. Maybe they'll get married when they grow up? That'd be cute!"

On the Hollywood body ideal: "It sucks that that's what is supposed to look good and that's what everyone strives to be. There's more to life than being on a diet. Clearly, I spend time thinking about it, and it's something I've had to deal with in my life. As I get older, I try not to focus on it, it's boring, it's a waste of life. What I have learned is that whether I'm fatter or thinner, people seem not to mind, they like me either way. It's more in your own mind than anyone else's."

On being married to Gavin Rossdale: "There are negatives and positives, but for the most part, it works. He can tell me about things going well or badly and I can totally relate to that. We were very lucky to find each other and we have this ongoing crazy love affair, with its peaks and valleys, like everyone else's... Having Kingston has been the most romantic thing to have happened to us."

Fromental - Taking the World by Storm

Tim Butcher is the former Creative Director for the world renowned Chinoiserie house, De Gournay. He has also trained as a weaver and has had vast experience designing silks for the likes of Paul Smith and Ralph Lauren. Believing there was a broader niche to that which was being satisfied by other companies in the market place for hand painted wallpaper Tim and his wife, Lizzy Deshayes pooled their immense individual talents in 2005 to create hand made wallpaper company, Fromental. This multi-talented team intends to take the world by storm by establishing Fromental as a world leader in hand made wallpaper.

Butcher was recently quoted in The World of Interiors December 2006 edition as saying "I love it when wallpaper covers every surface, when it goes around the chimney and has a door cut into it. That's when it is not a painting - it's decoration - no matter how beautiful it is - and that to me is when wallpaper comes to life."

Using this ideology as a basis for their creations the pair have made the wallpapers to be all non-repeating designs conceived for entire rooms rather than just one wall - even though I would personally still use the papers in both sections and entire rooms.


Their unique ordering process involves providing the specific measurements of the area to be papered in order to customise the pattern and design to suit your particular space. You can expect to wait approximately 6-10 weeks for your special order to be processed and delivered.

I am currently considering some of the Fromental papers in the redesign of my office at Black & Spiro - my decision is still pending. More on that to come...

Courteney's Malibu pad up for sale

Courteney Cox and David Arquette have listed their waterfront Malibu mansion on the market for a reported $33.5 million. The couple purchased the home for $10.5 million, and were in part interested because of the home's distinctive architectural style. The estate boasts four bedrooms, five bathrooms and an 80-foot beachfront area.

Rachel to replace Katie in Batman sequel

Notebook star Rachel McAdams is reportedly favored to replace Katie Holmes in The Dark Knight, the sequel to Batman Begins. As reported here earlier this week, Holmes passed up on the role due to "scheduling conflicts," and McAdams is said to be in negotiations to join Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Heath Ledger, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman in the film.
