Free as a bird

Canadian songbird Nelly Furtado relaxed on the beach in Barbados this week as a part of a Toronto radio station's annual "Breakfast in Barbados." Loose, Furtado's first album since taking a hiatus after the birth of her daughter, is expected to be released this spring. The singer describes her upcoming album as "funk-hop," and collaborated with megaproducer Timbaland on 10 of the album's 13 tracks. Her daughter Nevis was named after the Caribbean island on which she was concieved.
