The first single from Nick Lachey's upcoming album was recorded on the day Jessica Simpson told him their impending split. The new album "is kind of a journal of the last year of my life," admits the former 98 Degrees singer, and he says the song "What's Left of Me" was recorded "the day before Thanksgiving, which was basically the day that Jessica told me she wanted to get a divorce." The album is due for release on May 23.
