Clooney's Stalker sabotage email was a prank

George Clooney has said that an email aimed at sabotaging Gawker's new Stalker site was a private prank. The email asked stars to "Flood their website with bogus sightings. Get your clients to get 10 friends to text in fake sightings of any number of stars. A couple hundred conflicting sightings and this website is worthless." Gawker responded by saying the Oscar winner was trying to "publicly break [their] hearts." Clooney's publicist insists he does not know how the private email was publicly released.
