Britney prompts new law in California

Britney Spears's latest child care scandal has prompted the state of California to introduce a bill requiring infant car seats to face the rear of the car if a child is under one year old. The controversy started when Spears was photographed driving her convertible with son Sean facing forward in his car seat. Lawmakers hope the new bill will clear up confusion on this issue, and will call the legislation Britney's Law if it is passed. Britney is the second celebrity this month to have prompted new legislation in California: a ban on the sale of ultrasound machines to anyone who is not a licensed professional was introduced after Tom Cruise installed one in his home so he could do sonograms on Katie Holmes. Britney is seen here in NYC today.
