American Idol contender Chris Daughtry has announced that he has turned down the offer for a lead singer gig from the band Fuel. "I'm going to be doing my own thing," Daughtry said at a welcome-home appearance in Greensboro. He was offered the position only hours after being voted off the Idol show.
