Jay-Z has announced that he is shelving all bottles of Cristal champagne at his 40/40 Club as a result of allegedly racist comments by the brand's managing director. "It has come to my attention that the managing director of Cristal, Frederic Rouzaud views the 'Hip-Hop' culture as 'unwelcome attention,'" the rapper said. "I view his comments as racist and will no longer support any of his products through any of my various brands including the 40/40 Club nor in my personal life." Jay-Z is among many hip-hop artists who have mentioned the high-end brand in their lyrics as well as in reference to their leisure activities.
