Today I will tell you about the top 15 Hollywood Celebrity Scandals of last year, 2007. Last year was the year of Celebrity Scandals. There were many new faces being introduced and also many Celebrity scandals revealed. Surprisingly however, it was not just young females who made it into the top 15 scandals, there were some highly regarded older actors and even an authors making notable headlines.


15. Salma Hayek/ Linda Evangelista/ Francois-Henri Pinault

Startling accusations were made that Salma Hayek’s fiancé and father of her baby daughter Francois-Henri Pinault may also be the father of Linda Evangelista’s son, who he previously dated. Pinault has not made a comment since the announcement.

14. Marcia Cross

People were searching wildly on the internet to see where they could find pictures of a naked Marcia Cross in the shower. Someone stole pictures of the Desperate Housewives’ star from her garbage bin. Cross didn’t appear angry, more shocked in fact as she did not believe her body was anything special to look at. Cross, I think many would disagree.

13. Lindsay Lohan/ Vanessa Minillo

Lindsay Lohan was pictured putting a knife to Vanessa Minillo’s throat. Nick Lachey’s girlfriend Minillo and Lohan appeared to be posing but even so it created a huge backlash. Minillo distanced herself from the controversy while Lohan continued to spiral out of control.

12. Rosie O’Donnell

Comedian Rosie O Donnell made an early exit from the View after a massive on air fight between O’Donnell and co-panelist Elisabeth who was previously a contestant on the reality TV show Survivor. Alicia Silverstone was on after the commercial break and went on stage despite telling producers she wasn't comfortable going out there.

11. Harry Potter series revelation

Dumbeldore is gay. Author J.K. Rowling admitted the patriarchal figure of the Harry Potter series was in fact gay. There has always been speculation as to his sexual orientation but Rowling silenced all whispers with this admission. One avid Harry Potter fan was infuriated after having had a full blown picture of Dumbeldore tattooed on his back.

10. Heather Mills

Paul McCartney’s soon to be ex-wife Heather Mills has denied for years she has ever posed naked for adult magazines or videos. Pictures surfaced in 2007 of Mills in a provocative pose with crotchless underwear and breasts exposed. Mills rejects the claim the pictures were of a pornographic nature despite evidence to the contrary. Mills went on a television show recently claiming she was near suicidal after being 'persecuted' by the media.

9. Isaiah Washington/ T.R. Knight

Isaiah Washington was fired from the show Grey’s Anatomy after he made a gay slur about T.R. Knight who plays George on the show. At an awards night he tried to rectify the situation shortly before he was canned. Instead he embarrassed the show and its co-stars by grabbing the microphone and rejecting allegations he was offensive to Knight. Washington played Dr Burke on the medical drama. He vowed he would take legal action against the show and its producers.

8. Owen Wilson

Owen Wilson’s suicide attempt was a shock to many. The comedic actor was found in his home and rushed to hospital after his attempt to take his own life. Recovered, the actor is now back at work but there remains concern for his wellbeing.

7. Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin was left red-faced when audio was captured. The phone message heard Baldwin calling his daughter a “thoughtless pig”. Baldwin and his ex-wife Kim Bassinger have been fighting a bitter custody battle. Baldwin subsequently apologised for his rant.

6. Hugh Grant

Hugh Grant already has a bad boy image after he was arrested for having sex with a prostitute in his car back in the 90s. In 2007 Grant was pictured with female university students. The pictures surfaced on Facebook with images showing an intoxicated Grant kissing one of the girls. Gotta love Facebook.

5. Anna Nicole Smith

When Anna Nicole Smith died many weren’t surprised but were deeply saddened. There was huge controversy surrounding how she died. It was believed she overdosed on drugs a few months after the death of her son Daniel. Many accused her lawyer and lover Howard Stern of killing both her Daniel and Smith although there was no proof. Smith left behind her baby daughter, which led to a custody battle between Howard Stern and her former flame Larry Birkhead. A paternity test proved Birkhead was in fact the father and he received full custody with visitation allowed for Stern.

4. Lindsay Lohan/ Paris Hilton/ Nicole Richie/ Mischa Barton

It has been the year for young starlets to be jailed. Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie and now Mischa Barton were all arrested for driving related offenses. Lindsay Lohan went to rehab shortly thereafter to sort herself out. Paris Hilton served a short jail sentence while Nicole Richie was in jail for a mere few hours. Mischa Barton is set to go to court in relation to driving under the influence and possession of marijuana. Will these girls ever learn?

3. Jamie-Lynn Spears

What a mess! Big sis Britney Spears has been in the media all year and then Jamie-Lynn Spears goes and gets herself pregnant at 16. Spears Jr sold her story to OK! Magazine, revealing all about the shock she felt when she found out she was pregnant. Little Jamie is on the hit Nickelodeon show Zoey 101 so there has been some comment from the media as to the effect her actions will have on her adoring fans. The girls’ mother was set to write a book about parenting but to avoid further embarrassment it has been shelved indefinitely. Good idea.

2. Britney Spears

Oops, she did it over and over again. Poor Britney Spears couldn’t catch a break in 2007. From temporary full custody given to ex-husband Kevin Federline, to being mocked by gossip guru Perez Hilton, it seems life isn’t so rosy for the pop queen. Although one YouTube user became famous when he told the world to “leave Britney alone!” it appears she isn’t doing herself any favors. On top of everything else, Spears has been seen traipsing around town without underwear, getting naked in a store, shaving her hair and of course her tragic MTV music awards performance. Let’s not forget how she attacked a paparazzo’s car with an umbrella. Phew, I’m out of breath.

1. Vanessa Hudgens

Good girl gone bad, or was she ever good? That was the question on everyone’s mind when picture after picture of Vanessa Hudgens posing naked surfaced on the internet. The star of Disney’s High School Musical tried to run but couldn’t hide from the media scrutiny following the release of these photos. It was alleged her boyfriend and co-star Zac Efron was the one who leaked the pictures but as they are still together one can possibly assume this may not have been the case. While media outlets commented this may have been the end of her career with the Disney network, Hudgens has announced she will be in the third installment of the popular musical movie.
