Kate Winslet

English actress and singer Kate Winslet is one of the UK's successful youngest actress, winning Oscar Award and nominated for five other awards. Kate Elizabeth Winslet was born on October 5, 1975 in Reading,Berkshire England. Winslet appeared on the British stage production such as Adrian Mole and Peter Pan and had achieved recognition role in Ang Lee's adaption of Sense and Sensibility. At the age of 33, Winslet became the youngest actor to receive six Academy Award nominations.



Kate has done many super hits movies like Titanic, Hamlet, Little Children,The Reader, Revolutionary Road and many more and won many awards for her movies like Empire Award for Best British Actress for Titanic, nominated for Academy Award, Golden Globe Award for the same movie, Academy Best Actress Award, Golden Globe Award for movie The Reader.

Winslet married with the director Jim Threapleton, from that relation they have daughter Mia Honey born on 12 October, 2000. They got divorced and she married with Sam Mendes in 2003.
