In his early film career Collin Farrell did a number of small roles in various television shows and films. His first such role was in the BBC drama Ballykissangel in 1998. He also had a role in Falling For A Dancer. In 2000 he got a break as a lead Actor as Private Roland Bozz in Tigerland, which is an American film directed by Joel Schumacher. His following American films like American Outlaws (2001) and Hart's War (2002), were not commercially successful.
